Al parecer Deep Purple volverá a Sudamérica en febrero del 2008, se rumorea que tocarán en Argentina, Chile y Perú, aquí información reciente, ni bien me entere en que otros países tocarán actualizare esta información.

La banda mítica de Hard Rock, Deep Purple; se presentara en Lima el día miércoles 20 de Febrero del 2008 en el Estadio Nacional. Deep Purple es considerado uno de los máximos exponentes del Hard Rock británico al lado de Black Sabbath y Led Zeppelín.

La empresa Lahersa Producciones ha confirmado la nueva visita de Deep Purple a Lima. En efecto, la legendaria banda británica se presentará, el miércoles 20 de febrero, en el Estadio Nacional y, según los organizadores, el ambiente será inmejorable, pues se dispondrán todos los elementos para que el concierto sea apreciado de la mejor manera por todos los asistentes. Como se recuerda, el grupo de Ian Gillan tocó anteriormente, en marzo de 1997, en el campus de la Universidad de Lima…

...acababa de confirmar que todo estaba cerrado para que Deep Purple tocara en Lima el 20 de febrero. En Chile ya confirmaron fecha: se presentará en Concepción, el 28 de febrero y el 1 de marzo en el teatro Caupolicán de Santiago.

Just last week Rush officially announced the 2008 extension of the Snakes & Arrows tour. They confirmed that they'd kick off the tour this Spring in Puerto Rico and teased us a little by revealing a few of the cities the tour would cover. I was hoping that I'd get some advance information on more cities/venues and specific dates before year's end. Well... I haven't managed to get any specific dates yet but I did get my hands on a complete list of the venues the band plans on hitting. The list is not in any particular order as the exact dates and routes are still being determined. Venues that are still pending a final decision are indicated with an asterisk (*), while all the other venues are essentially confirmed. The band is also leaving the option open for a second show in Puerto Rico if needed. Again - the list is not in order (except for the Puerto Rico show). Neil Peart drum roll...

Acá un extracto de la entrevista:
¿Cuál es la relación que existe entre ustedes y los temas de satanismo y narcotráfico que se encuentran en sus canciones?
Bueno, en los años 80 algunos narcotraficantes mexicanos realizaban sacrificios humanos para proteger sus negocios. Nosotros teníamos familiares viviendo en las inmediaciones de los ranchos donde sucedían estas cosas, por lo que nos enterábamos de todo. Son cosas que simplemente sucedieron y que a nosotros no nos asustaron, porque sabíamos que existían, que estaban allí. La policía mexicana nunca quiso intervenir ni tocar a los responsables, fue solo cuando se sacrificó a un estudiante estadounidense que la policía internacional intervino y capturó a los culpables. Todas esas cosas prendieron algo en nosotros y nos provocó hablar sobre eso.
¿A qué te dedicas cuando te quitas la máscara y bajas del escenario?
Bueno, yo hago un trabajo social en los barrios mexicanos en Estados Unidos. Trabajo en hospitales que ayudan a los mexicanos pobres que viven allá. Es una labor de ayuda con la raza. Es importante que nos traten a todos por igual. No me gusta cuando tratan mal a nuestros hermanos.
¿Qué le quieres decir a los seguidores peruanos de Brujería?
Que no se pierdan este show, el primero que hacemos en el Perú. Van a sentir la fuerza de Brujería y una música que sale directo del corazón. Se van a dar cuenta de que no somos una banda con mala onda. Les va a gustar.

RUSH - de tour por Sudamérica ?

Los canadienses de Hard Rock y Rock progresivo al parecer estarán de gira por Sudamérica en mayo del 2008, el Tour incluiría a Chile, Argentina, Perú y Brasil. Dos periódicos de Chile han confirmado el tour por Sudamérica.

In my last update on the 2008 tour I mentioned that Rush would be spending around 2 weeks in South America - covering Brazil, Argentina, Peru, and Chile. Now it looks like 2 newspapers in Chile have essentially confirmed that Rush will be playing there although the final location and date are still being determined.
